Entrepreneurs, Refuse to Fear Failure!

In this video, Regina Dugan, director of DARPA, the Defence Advanced Research Projects Agency, asks the daring question 'What would you attempt to do if you knew you could not fail?'...

I am sharing this video because entrepreneurs believe. They believe in their ideas, they find ways to bring them to life, they find ways to succeed. In reality, scientists and engineers push the boundaries of what is possible... But quite often it is entrepreneurs who bring these new possibilities to common people.

The point of  Regina Dugan's presentation (therefore of this current article) is to inspire and encourage. Yes, she tells the audience about her experiences with mach-20 glider and humming bird drone. But this is not the point of her presentation. She sends a message, a mission.

REFUSE TO FEAR FAILURE!

It is only then when great, amazing, unbelievable things happen and the world changes! She periphrases Georges Clemenceau who says, 'A man's life is interesting primarily when he has failed - I well know. For it's a sign that he tried to surpass himself '...

And she reminds us that the only way to learn to fly is by... flying.
