Change you 404 page, change the user experience
In this video Renny Gleeson, Global Digital Strategies Director for Wieden+Kennedy, tells you the story of 'Error 404: A page not found'.
HOLD ON!!!
It matters. It matters because of your customers! It matters because they hate when this happens to them while they are trying to find something on your website. They hate it!

Principles we should not forget
This article will focus on principles of digital marketing which seem to be misunderstood or forgotten.
The proliferation of digital platforms has caused chaos in some areas of marketing communications. Many people joined groups such as 'Social media ruined marketing' and 'Marketing is death'. Everyone is crazy about social media, apps, mobile and video marketing. And it is great.
But I do believe that all marketing principles apply to these new communication platforms.
So here is what you should remember about the trends in digital promotion.

What do we miss in the concept of social media, mobile and video marketing?
Digital marketing has gone mental these days. I have been reading articles how marketers can engage their target audience or use new sales channels. Everyone talks about mobile marketing, apps, video marketing, new tricks in social media marketing and so on.
However, what most articles miss is the long-term perspective. They are too tactical. It's all about what you can do now and what the others do.
What about the long-term? How about planning, relationship building, increasing customer lifetime value and use of data?

Entrepreneurs, Refuse to Fear Failure!
In this video, Regina Dugan, director of DARPA, the Defence Advanced Research Projects Agency, asks the daring question 'What would you attempt to do if you knew you could not fail?'...
I am sharing this video because entrepreneurs believe. They believe in their ideas, they find ways to bring them to life, they find ways to succeed. In reality, scientists and engineers push the boundaries of what is possible... But quite often it is entrepreneurs who bring these new possibilities to common people.

Is Your Facebook Fan Page Sticky? No? Let’s Make It.
Many start-ups create and manage Facebook fan pages just for the sake of being on Facebook and quite a lot of them struggle to make these pages work for their business. I will not go on to discuss the benefits of being on Facebook. But I will ask you, ‘How often do your fans return to your fan page? And how much traffic to your website does Facebook generate?’
By talking to friends and reading around I found out that even fan pages with a lot of fans rarely deliver some sufficient traffic to the company’s website. My hypothesis is that fans rarely return to the brand fan page or go to the brand website as a result of Facebook posts. (Obviously, I exclude posts about promotions.) My colleagues and I have the theory that the stickier the fan page is, the better customer relationships are developed and the higher the traffic to the website becomes.
